Marc Lovering, new owner of the South Wales Scorpions, is hoping to meet with supporters ahead of Friday evening's European Cup international between Wales and France.
Mr Lovering will be in the Gatekeeper pub on Friday evening at 5.50pm, where a number of supporters are anticipated to congregate prior to the Arms Park international clash.
Ex-solicitor Lovering is one of two new owners of the club - with Neil Williams from Monmouth also at the helm. The duo have taken over the running of the club from Wales Rugby League.
Since the club's inception, SouthWalesScorpions.com has provided a dedicated outlet for supporters of the club to discuss rugby league matters.
In the early years, the club's owners made a notable effort to utilise the platform and engage with the club's followers - which was hugely appreciated by fans.
Sadly, more recently, a perception has been felt by some that the club was too frosty to criticism; and engagement with the fans had dipped; whilst our tiny, but loyal fanbase has - at times - felt a little fractured.
Lovering and Williams' takeover offers a fresh start for club rugby league in South Wales - and the meeting with supporters on Friday is a positive and important gesture as the club prepare for another season in Championship One.
