Early 2016 thoughts

As 2015 draws towards Christmas and the New Year that is 2016, the South Wales Scorpions can look forward to the up and coming season with considerable optimism and enthusiasm. The club have new owners, the players are already well into pre season training, we have a new permanent home in Caerphilly and a well stocked shop too. The fans had the chance to meet club officials at an open evening recently and despite the weather and a fizzy drinks lorry at Coryton is was well attended; the owners and the players demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm for the challenges ahead. 

Season tickets remain on sale at the "early bird" prices until the end of the calendar year. 

We have two pre season friendlies at home to look forward to plus a cup match at London Skolars before the league season starts, so hopefully there will not be any rustiness to shake off and we can hit the ground running. The home game v Keighley should be good!

It is the office party season at the moment, so enjoy yourselves if you are out and about.

Let's leave the memories of the last couple of years behind and start a fresh, as fans, a team and a club in Caerphilly.

Onwards and upwards for the great sport that is RL.

We nearly got Kevin Sinfield the BBC award too - a great runner up.

Happy New Year and best wishes to all South Wales based RL fans.
