South Wales Ironmen CEO Gerald McCarthy appeared on OB's Saturday Sport Show on Radio Cardiff this week, talking about the club's rebrand, its move to Merthyr Tydfil, and hopes for the future.
In an interview spanning more than 15 minutes, McCarthy discusses a range of topics - including the club's aspirations over the next five seasons, the planned recruitment policy, and some of the individual's seeking to drive professional rugby league forward at Merthyr.
The importance of a consistent squad, and moves to attract new local support, are also covered; with the Ironmen featured as the show's 'Club of the Week' on Radio Cardiff, 98.7FM.

The club are certainly raising their profile across the region and hopefully this will be relected in more interset, more success and a climb up the table in 2017.
Fans of the sport have drifted away over recent from the club simply down to the product on offer. If we hit the ground running and get a string of wins together the crowds will come back.
We had to do something different and the new approach is a positive step.
Hopefully next season we'll see many more fans at games and we won't know each other by name!
Let's embrace this oppurtunity and look forward with conffidence and fresh positivity.
