LWWRFC hoping '13 will be as lucky as '12!

The London Welsh Ladies team may have had an extended break over Christmas but they return to action this Sunday with a home record to defend and a determination to start the New Year in the way they finished 2012.
It has been over a month since the team last took the pitch, travelling a short way down the M4 to face Reading. The LW team had secured a 22-0 victory against them at ODP earlier in the season and, despite team changes and player shortages, this time went even better running out 43-7 winners. Welsh scored seven tries that afternoon (three by Danielle O’Sullivan , two by Shelley-Anne Magic, plus Paula Cooper and Jane Crowther adding one each. Paula added to her tally with four conversions.

As we move into a new calendar year LWWRFC, thanks to the bonus point against Reading, sit second in the league equal on points with top-placed Bristol and seven points clear of Henley in third. Some 16 points behind Welsh are Supermarine who visit Old Deer Park this Sunday.
The Ladies are not just looking to improve their league position this weekend but also extend their unbeaten run at ODP to an incredible 27 months! All support would very be welcome.
