Welsh Hold On and the Dragon Roars

Saturday saw a great day at Old Deer Park which opened with a win for London Welsh and closed with an historic win for Wales over England.
One O'clock saw London Welsh kick off against Bedford and within twenty minutes Welsh had three tries in the bag and it looked like it was going to be a long afternoon for Bedford and their travelling supporters, but that was not to be the case and whilst Welsh let off the gas Bedford upped the pace and came charging back.
They played some great stuff arounfd the set piece and left us scrambling in defence at times, but in the end Welsh manged to winkle out the fourth try and clung on for the bonus point win.
Then all that was left was to sit back, enjoy a few pints in the sunshine and wait nervously for the evenings match against England, and what a game that turned out to be.
Wales were getting beaten up in the scrum and it was only Dan Biggar's faultless kicking display and some stout defendingthat kept us within reach on the scoreboard, at least and with twenty minutes to go it looked like all was lost as the Welsh players were dropping like flies.
But with players out of position all over the pitch a fantastic kick from the wing and a fantastic fingertip pick up saw that all important converted try scored, and was followed up by another fantastic kick from Biggar, on the halfway line, to take Wales into the lead.
Englands decision to go for the win proved costly as wales defended the resulting line out brilliantly and the rest as they say is history.
Another great international day at Old Deer Park was celebrated late into the night, with I'm sure plenty of sore heads the next day.

Here is my analysis of the game.
In the first half they "England" did put WALES under a lot of pressure, but, with true grit and utter determination of not wanting to buckle or give up, they just stuck in there. In the second half England continued to press, but WALES with a will, and determination of not wanting to give up or surrender, even under the relentless adversity of more players falling victim to injury they regathered and stuck to the task in hand. I am aware that England also suffered injury problems, but they were able to replace like with like. Lucky winners no. Deserving winners yes. After the game, although Clive Woodward was magnanimous in defeat, even he said that if England had taken the penalty to level the scores, they "England" would have scored immediatly from the kick off. This again only speaks of and refers to one team on the field of play, I'm sorry but ALL this obnoxious and arrogant behaviour from the England camp, just makes me want to throw up.
With regards to the LONDON WELSH v BEDFORD game. We were oh so lucky to win, i thought that BEDFORD after the first 20 mins were by far the better side. PADDYTAF.
