Druids' Oppo 2017/18
By Dragons' Den
April 17 2017
It's a month until the league fixtures are announced but we do know the 11 teams that Druids will face in Herts/Middx 1. At the end of the season the top two will be promoted to London 3 NW, the bottom two will drop down to HM2.
The eleven teams teams are:
Bank of England
Back to HM1 having won both phases of the HM2 season and not too far from ODP! Bank of England Sports Centre, Bank Lane, SW15 5JQ
Barnet
7th in HM1 at the end of the 16/17 season. Ideally an autumn or spring away match to avoid the worst of the mud.... Byng Road, EN5 4NP
Finchley
Eleven seasons after being promoted from HM1, Finchley were relegated after finishing second from bottom in London 3 NW. Can they bounce back at the first attempt? Summers Lane, N12 0PD
Hendon
In the mix for relegation until the last couple of weeks of the season but did enough in the end to finish 8th. Just a stone's throw from Allianz Park at Copthall. Greenlands Lane, NW4 1RL
London French
Finished 3rd place in the league but some 10pts behind 2nd. Matches played at Barn Elms. Queen Elizabeth Walk, SW13 9SA
Old Actonians
Local rivals and a strong LW connection through Florent Rossigneux. 9th place in 16/17. Gunnerbury Drive. W5 4LL
Royston
The longest away trip of the season but a lovely location when the sun is out! 4th place in 16/17. Baldock Road, SG8 9NU
Saracens
Still based at their traditional home of Bramley Sports Ground in Southgate. Finished in 6th this season, one place and 7pts behind Druids. Green Road, N14 4AB
Staines
A tough season in London 3 NW saw Staines pick up just 2 wins during the season. Will be looking to rebuild and get off to a flying start. The Reeves, Snakey Lane, TW13 7NB
Wasps FC
After escaping relegation on the last day of the season Wasps will be looking to regroup and are likely to be a much tougher proposition this year. Twyford Avenue Sports Ground, W3 9QA
Watford
4th in HM2 Phase 1 and 2nd in Phase 2 was enough to get Watford into HM1. Radlett Road, WD24 4LL

Thank you for all your efforts keeping the DD site going .
I expect that DD will become fully redundant in the not too distant future but in the meantime, as long as there is at least a little bit of demand and no hassle, I'm happy to try and keep it ticking over.
If anyone has the urge to submit a front page article to help fulfill the fortnightly obligation to SN then please PM me.
