Jersey RFC admit they are yet to decide on who will be their captain for the new season.

Head Coach, Harvey Biljon, wants to get his full his squad together first - which he will do in the coming days - and see how they gel.

Alex Rae skippered the side to Championship safety last term, and Biljon said he could well be in line to retain the armband. 

Biljon said: "Alex grew as a leader over the last six or seven weeks of last season. We've had the conversation already; he's happy to put his hand up and wants to captain the side again, which I think is fantastic because, let's be honest, there was a lot of weight on his shoulders last season and the way he came through was outstanding. You've got to say he's the frontrunner for the captaincy this season."

The Reds are in the thick of their pre-season preparations ahead of three friendlies in August, before their new Championship campaign begins with a trip to Moseley on September the 6th.
