The Blues continue to confound. Beaten at home by Cross Keys and with hopes of progression in the B&I virtually non existent we go to Wales for the second leg and hammer them 48-10.

The six try demolition keeps alive our hopes of going through as one of the best runners-up with Cornish Pirates at Goldington Road next weekend in the final group game.

Keys decided to give some up and coming young players a game, and lost fly half Angus O'Brien in the warm up with scrum half Luc Jones takling the shirt.

You can only beat what is in front of you and we certainly did that.

By half time we were 27-3 up thanks to tries frfom Harry Wells, James Pritchard, a scorcher from Pat Tapley and the same player went over in the corner just before the break.

Inevitably the second half wasn't quite so energised. We did manage two more tries through Hayden Thomas-Stringer and Paul Tupai.

Let's hope that gives us confidence to start amassing more league points.

That was the point I made when I asked for a match report - I was not a the game so ....

And that's why I reported my view of the game. Above summary does not mention the penalty try.
