Cup Joy

Nobody can tell a Blues supporter that the new Premiership Cup has been a waste of time. Bedford go into the start of the Championship camapign on the back of some excellent cup performanes culminating in this seven try win over Leicester Tigers.

The 47-28 victory at Goldington Road was against a Tigers side which was a mixture of youth and experience,  but nonetheless very competitive and was leading at half-time.

Blues began well with an eary try for Tim Litchfield followed by another from Tom Howard. However, Tigers came back and led 21-12 at the break.

They couldn't keep it up with Blues crossing no less than five tiumes in the second half courtesy of Dean Adamson, Matt Worley, Cameron King, Joey Conway and Sean French.

Excellent preparation for the visit of much-fancied Ealing Trailfinders on October 21st as the Championship finally gets underway.
