Pirates didn't need to do much pillaging as a dismal first half handed the marauders a 27-7 lead at the break.
It all went when wrong when coach Michael Le Bourgeois was sent to the bin at the end of the first half with second place Pirates taking advantage by plundering 12 points.
To their credit Blues won the second half 14-0 courtesy of tries from Adamson and Lennon and one losing bonus point is better than none. But it means they have now slipped to fifth place.
Hopefully, it will be Blues who come out of the traps at Caldy this week (Sarturday 2.00) . The new boys are in 9th place having won four and lost six.
