After the week off we are away to Nottingham. Always a tricky encounter at Lady Bay on a Friday night. Nottingham have been looking very dangerous with their backs. I don't think our backs have been as good this season in attack as previous seasons, so Nottingham may have the edge on us there.
It will be one of those games where the best form of defence is attack, as both teams will be dangerous with ball in hand. We should keep kicking away the ball to a minimum.
I hear that Conway is struggling with his back, so we should see the young cardiff prop who is with us on a month loan. Whether the extra week will see some players return and also the return of a couple of Saints. At the end of the last match, Fred ended up in 2nd row.
I'd like to see Sylvester keep his spot in the team as he is an extra disrputer in the lineout. I'd also give Lennon and Price a start. One thing we have not seen which I expeted to see this season is a Price with Maisey (centre) set up, however Titherington, Le Bourgeois and Worth have all done a decent job at centre.

I think this game will be quite an high scoring affair which could go either way.
We have recently been playing a more pragmatic type of game due to the weather conditions and type of opposition.
On a dry and crisp Nottingham evening, hopefully our forwards will lay the foundation for our backline to flourish.
COME ON YOU BLUES
This could turn into a 'banana skin' game, I have travelled to Nottingham on several occasions and never returned happy....I don't travel anymore so that's a plus point.
Last time we met Nottingham Adamson ran in five tries, I don't expect that to happen this week but it is Black Friday let's hope for the boys to come back with a bargain!
The Cardiff prop gave away a penalty at almost every scrum after he came on against Caldy. I’m hoping we see Ollie Scola who shouldn’t be needed for Saints.

I disagree with that comment. He wasn't on the pitch long and also I am pretty sure the other prop was also in the scrum with Fred in 2nd row, so it was a weird pack.
I can find out about Hutler.

They had the possession in the first half to be well ahead but to be fair to Nottingham they defended well. The first 20 mins of the second half was awful with multiple penalties although I thought the ref was a bit harsh on some of them. They showed plenty of spirit to come back when down to 13 and in the end the three points for the draw was a fair result.
There was a lot of pretty rugby with an end product. We could have had 4 tries in the first 15 mins or so! Nottingham really struggled with the fast attack. However, we could quite finish it all off, with also some good Nottingham defence.
It was the total opposite for the start of 2nd half. At 28-7 I wondered how did we end up here! Good that we salvaged the positon to get to 28 all and I then thought we would go down the other end and score. However we were lucky that the scrum was not penalised as I thought Royston dropped it, but was on the other side of the scrum to the referee.
Nottingham are a decent side and 3 points is not a disaster, however the dominance we had it does feel a bit disappointing.
Don't you just love a team that thrives on jeopardy. Allow the opposition to go streets ahead and then nick a draw in the last minute. Brilliant!
t shows the character of this squad that it does not panic in the face of adversity and finds a way through.
It has to be careful, though. Other clubs will twig Bedford's strength in the last 20 and shore up their defence, particularly if, as observed above, Bedford do not convert chances in the early stages of the game.
