Having broken through into the Newcastle Falcons' first team this season, with 4 Zurich Premiership starts and 5 appearances off the bench, Phil Godman has secured his first Scotland U21 appearance.

Having played for Scottish schools while at Merchiston, and represented Scotland U19s, Phil Godman gets his first Scotland U21 shot.

Godman will make his first appearance for the Scotland Under 21s against a Glasgow Development XV at Dunbar today (2:30pm). The match, which was scheduled to take place yesterday, had to be re-arranged due to the snow covered pitch at Hughenden.

Phil Godman replaces Gala’s Andy McLean at fly-half. With Jonny Wilkinson in the Newcastle Falcons' side, Godman has played in a variety of positions for Newcastle, playing at 10, centre and on the wing.
