Falcons qualified for their first ever Heineken Cup quarter-final this afternoon with a 25-17 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons at Kingston Park.

Tries from the immaculate Colin Charvis, Tom May and Matthew Burke, making a total of 15 points for Burke, means that Falcons will travel to Paris in the quarter-final, with Stade Francais the opposition on the weekend of 1/2/3 April.  Stade Francais topped Pool 6 after beating Gloucester 27-0 at Kingsholm this afternoon, and falling one try short of the second seeding spot.

The quarter-finals are:-

Leinster v Leicester Tigers

Stade Toulousain v Northampton Saints

Stade Francais v NEWCASTLE FALCONS

Biarritz Olympique v Munster
