This year the annual The Saints with Hearts 8 sponsored walk for 2009 in aid of the British Heart Foundation takes place on October 24th. In the past its been traditional for a Saints supporter to adopt a club and the last time I did the walk Harlequins were the club I adopted. You responded royally!
I'd like to adopt your club again as you are one of my favourite clubs after Saints! I’ll be swapping my traditional Saints shirt for the Harlequins colours on the day and will watch the Sale game afterwards wearing your colours
Details about SWH and how you can donate online can be found here: Saints with Heart
This is the 8th year of walking and we have raised just over £82K in that time and the aim this time is to try and break the £100000 barrier.
By way of background, inspiration for the walk came from a desire to help supporters who had recently suffered from heart attacks. However heart disease is all too common and many of us know people who’ve been affected both inside and outside the game of rugby.
I hope you can support us but we are aware money is tight and there are many requests from a lot of worthy causes. However one of the aims of SWH is to simply raise awareness and in doing so help all of us from ever having to rely on the support and services provided by the British Heart Foundation.
Many thanks Wee Jim

I ran a couple of Marathons when I was younger in aid of British Heart Foundation. An excellent cause and thank you for adopting us as your London contributor. Good luck!
The game's afoot;
Follow your spirit: and upon this charge,
Cry — God for Harry! England and Saint George
Mission accomplished! Weather wasnt too bad either - rained a bit but the walking was ok. Took about 5 hours all up but no blisters. Just tired limbs! Got some good banter in the terraces wearing the quins shirt and it got a few more donations too. The game it self was patchy in part and I think Saints missed a trick not getting a bp.
Great result for Quins - away wins are always precious!! Hope the karma from the walk helped!
Thanks again for all the support!
Thanks Corny and for your help! Quins shirt was spotted by Ben Cohn at warm up. ONe of his kicks landed right on my head! Didnt spill my pint which is the main thing.
