TRAVELLING TO SEE SARACENS VS HARLEQUINS AT WEMBLEY STADIUM ON SATURDAY 31 MARCH?
Due to engineering work taking place on the Metropolitan line between Harrow on the Hill and Rickmansworth and Croxley, and on the London Overground network between Watford Junction and Queens Park, those travelling to the match at Wembley Stadium from the Watford area are advised to use London Midland or Southern services from Watford Junction to Harrow & Wealdstone, and change there for Bakerloo line services to Wembley Central station.
Paper tickets valid between Watford Junction and Wembley Central and Pay as you Go Oyster Cards with sufficient credit will be accepted on this route. National Rail fares between Watford Junction and Harrow & Wealdstone will apply for those passengers with a zone one to seven season ticket. A normal service will operate on the Metropolitan line between Aldgate and Harrow on the Hill, in addition to a full service on the Jubilee and Bakerloo lines

Any of you thinking you'd take the Thomas the Tank line overground from Richmond to Wembley think again!

Should not be too much of a problem because the match is this Saturday 31st March which is about a month before the work is due to start

What is the best way to get from Richmond to the closest station to the stadium? We were thinking about meeting at The Sun/Orange Tree for brunch prior to getting the overground via West Hampsted or Willesden Junction. Anyone know the best way? Also is there a good mustering point anywhere near the stadium?

Re getting to Wembley from Richmond. - easiest way is London Overground from Richmond to West Hampstead. Then the tube, Jubilee Line, West Hampstead to Wembley Park. It's about a 15 min walk to the stadium. Last time I looked on Transport for London, the lines were running OK next Saturday.

And the TFL journey planner also says you can take a train from Clapham Jct to Stratford that stops at West Hampstead if that's any help.

Or you could take the same London Overground train from Richmond to Willesden Junction and change there for a Bakerloo Line train to Wembley Central.
Wembley Central to the stadium is a few minutes longer than from Wembley Park, but as you will be making the interchange four stops earlier the shorter train journey will more than cover the additional walking time.

Easiest way from Richmond to Wembley is via the Quinssa coach!

For those coming from the South, I understand from TFL that the Victoria line is out of action this weekend.
Use Cirle/District to Embankment to change for the Jubilee Line.
Please check the TFL website to be sure of this for yourselves; I would not want to be guilty of misleading you!

Well the person I was taking by car dropped out. Research indicated motorcycles can park in residents bays in the CPZ, so am taking that option.
Up to Greenford via Gillette Corner, along East Lane/Forty Ave to avoid the queues, down to Wembley Park and then find a parking spot.
