Wouldn't you Know It

Asl all rugby and football supporters know it's the former player who comes back to haunt you. And that's exactly what Mike Brown did as Tigers shaded a scrappy game 20-19.

Browny scoed the try which eventually made the difference with Jarrod Evans missing a last ditch conversion which would have won the game for Quins. It's a kick he would normally have nailed,  and no doubt he will slot his next pressure kick.

It wasn't the best of games with a total of ten players away preparing for the Six Nations. Tigers got on the scoreboard first with a pen from  Handre Pollard and then went 10-0 up when  Jasper Wiese crossed.

Quins finally got into the act when Evans made a break in his own half to send Nick David in from distance - as a result  Quins were only three points down at the break.

They came out for the second half with some harsh words ringing in their ears and Andre Esterhuizen went clear but was pulled back for offside. However, Jack Walker did put his side ahead for the first time as he finished off a spell of forward pressure with Evans converting.

The next score was an important one and it came from that man Brown who was on the end of an attacking burst which saw him finish under the sticks to give his side a six point lead.

That looked like it wouldn't be enough when Tyrone Green managed to dive over right at the very end to the thunderous and relieved delight of the home support - that  lasted only as long as it took to miss the conversion.
