Smith Makes His Mark

Marcus Smith returned to league action with a masterful performance as Quins beat the old enemy Sarries 20-14. To be honest the winning margin could have been bigger.

His boot outshone that of Owen Farrel, l and it was his try which got things going - finishing in style after his high kick put Sarries in all kinds of trouble.

Fergus Burke scored an excellent reply for the visitors and it was only a Smith pen which separated the sides at the break. However, it ony took Tyrone Green a minute to latch onto another Smith kick and he chased it down to score.

Another Smith pen took his personal points tally to 15,  and that was enough to keep Sarries at bay despite a second try for Sarries courtesy of Ben Earl.
