Tipsters Guide to the ZP -Week 2
.

Some interesting results last week, and sadly a loss of some 15 points on the betting list suggested (should have stuck to the original one!) Everything was going smoothly until Sunday rugby made me shiver, with every result it delivered…
There could be a song in there somewhere, I feel…..
Time for this week’s action, and where better to start than FG?
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Saints vs Newcastle Falcons – Live on LardyandbarnesTV 2 – kick off 2.00p.m.!!
Saints come into this game after a last-play loss over Sale and the referee –
Newcastle won their opening game against the High Wycombe Wasps 24-17. I
expect this to be a Saints win, provided the referee doesn’t ping every few
seconds for infringements, allowing Jonny Wilkinson to put three points over.
It is important to get our home campaign off to a good start. Saints to win
by a double figure score – so if the Saints have to give up nine points or
less, a definite bet.
PCP vs Quins – kick off 3.00 p.m.
Both teams lost last week (howls of laughter) and the PCP are still looking
for their first point of the season, after being outthought and outfought
against Leeds. I don’t think they’ll be looking for too long. Quins lost to
Gloucester, and, whilst I think they’ll win their share, Wellbad Road ain’t
the place to get your first win of the season. The PCP by a double figure
score – I would want to see how big a start I was giving the Quins before
definitely recommending a bet on this.
By the way Mr Razcal, where’s your one point going this week?!
Gloucester vs Sale Sharks
Arguably the closest match up of the weekend. Gloucester edged past Quins
25-19 but I’m not totally convinced they are the real deal. Sale on the other
hand…. No, we’ll leave that one alone. Home advantage swings me towards
Gloucester, probably by very many – around seven is my best guess.
SUNDAY’S GAMES
Leeds Tykes vs London Irish
Well, who would have thought it? Irish beaten at home by Bath and the clock,
and Leeds beat… (OK, we’ll not gloat again. – what was that? Listeria?) A
difficult call, after last week – I would want to see the betting lines before
committing – if absolutely forced, a narrow Leeds win.
High Wycombe Wasps vs Bristol Shoguns
Two teams looking for their first win; Wasps losing by seven at Newcastle
whilst Bristol took a fifteen point beating at home to Saracens. The most
logical result is a Wasps win, I would guess by around ten points.
Saracens vs Bath
Saracens won last week against Bristol; Bath won against London Irish with a
kicking display. Are Sarries on the way back? Time will tell; the next step
may be taken on Sunday with a win over Bath, say by twelve points.
I will update with recommended bets tomorrow or early Saturday on the rugby,
and maybe some news on other events as well.
Good luck with your bets this weekend….and
COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!
