Zurich Premiership Betting Guide - Round Eight

Hello all, Wellsaint's back with the full comprehensive service this week. This week looks better for betting purposes, and I am going for my first accumulator of the year this week.
FRIDAY NIGHT – Sale Sharks v Brizzle Showgirls
Sale appear to be going through a rough patch at present; Bristol had no game last week due to the weather. Both teams are without key players (no Pichot or Cartandpony for Bristol; no Hodgson for Sale.) I take Sale to win, although the handicap line on offer is tight; if you can get the –5 Sale with Stan James, this looks like the best possibility. I suspect I will not be betting on this game.
SATURDAY – Glassdoor v Saints
Wellsaint’s first away game of the season (and I’ve got a seat – big up for Gloucester’s administration department for finding me a seat at the last minute after I e-mailed them. Mr Prawn Sandwich, take note.) No raspberries this week, hopefully no “eeyores” either – but this is a mighty, mighty ask. From memory I think everyone’s come away from Fortress Grim with a double-digit beating this season. I hope that isn’t going to happen on Saturday; but I feel a point may be the very best we get out of this game as Gloucester win by at least six. This is one prediction I hope that I’ve got wrong. The bookmakers make Gloucester eleven point favourites, and therefore back Saints receiving the start.
PCP v Wasps
PCP got their first away win of the season at Sarries last week whilst Wasps beat Gloucester in the live TV game. With home advantage, I take the PCP to win, margin of victory nine points. This is another prediction I hope I’ve got wrong – most bookmakers give Wasps a fourteen start, and therefore Wasps +14 is the call.
Harlequins v Bath – Live on SKY
Two teams at the wrong end of the table; Quins to edge this, probably by less than a score (say 5 points); this is slap-bang in the middle of the handicap, and I would give this game a swerve for betting purposes.
SUNDAY – Leeds v Saracens
Leeds won last week at Bath, Sarries lost at home to the Tigs – not too much change this week, as Leeds win by eight; Leeds –5 is available with the Tote and Skybet.
Newcastle v “London Irish”
Newcastle had no game last week, whereas the “Irish” lost to…. Us! (That felt GOOD……) Newcastle should have the measure of Irish – expect a ten point or higher margin of victory; again, a good bet with the Tote or Skybet as Newcastle are only –6.
Recommended bets
Saints +11 (+12 with Tote) – five point win
Wasps +14 (general) – four point win
Leeds –5 – seven point win
Newcastle –6 – seven point win
Saints, Leeds, Newcastle; three point treble
Wasps, Leeds, Newcastle; three point treble
Saints, Wasps, Leeds, Newcastle, one point accumulator
Thirty points staked
Good luck with your bets this weekend, and COME ON YOU SAINTS!!
