Zurich Premiership & Intl Betting Guide 15/11/02

Not an entirely successful week last week, although I got the money back backing New Zealand off an eight point start (was I sweating at 31-14!!) On to this week.
WELLSAINT’S BETTING PREVIEW FOR ZURICH PREMIERSHIP WEEK 10
Tigers v Gloucester
Top of the table clash, can back Leicester off levels or Gloucester getting six, which appeals, as I can see this game being tight. Who’s going to win? I really am not sure! The heart says away win, the head says home.
Sale v Saracens
Sarries are getting between a 5 and 10 point start on the handicap – if the start offered by your bookie is 5 back Sale; if it is 10, back Sarries. The winning margin (to Sale I feel) lies inbetween the two.
Leeds v Saints
Saints are 5 to 7 point underdogs. How can I put this? Not tempting. Leeds to win by more than 7? Could do. If forced to bet, I’d back Leeds.
Newcastle v Bath
The Tote have dropped a clanger as they have this game as a level start (all other bookies have Bath receiving 5 or 6 points.) Whatever. Newcastle to win, and cover the points.
Bristol v London Irish
Irish receive 5 to 8 points. Probably about right. Bristol to win by around 7, no bet.
Quins v Wasps
Wasps give Quins three points start – I think I’d be backing Wasps to beat the handicap here.
Bet:
Gloucester +6
Newcastle –5 (level at the Tote – BUT trebles + only)
Wasps –3
Three point treble
The reason I advise caution is that these handicaps are tight and the weather could have a part to play in these games.
As for the Internationals:
England to beat Australia by around 6-9 points
South Africa to beat Scotland by 15-20
France to beat NZ by less than a score
Ireland to beat Fiji by a lot
Wales to beat Canada by 20
Italy v Argentina: Well I don’t know. Can we get a bet on how many players finish the game? I’ll go for 28.
Enjoy the weekend,
COME ON ENGLAND AND COME ON YOU SAINTS!!
PS - I’ve had an Aussie annoying me all week. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE boys, stuff them out of sight so I can wipe the smile off the annoying little …….
