Ollie Brouzet confirms he is to return to France

Saints French lock Olivier Brouzet has confirmed the rumours which none of us wanted to hear. It is his intention to return back to his homeland at season end to concentrate on retaining his place in Frances World Cup squad.

Ollie, who had been in storming form and even had a song composed in his honour by the supporters (high praise indeed) is attracting the attention of amongst others Agen, Toulouse, Castres and our old friends at Montferrand.

At 29 years of age and with 54 caps to his name the player who is on top of his game is bound to be in demand over the water.

No replacement, or replacements have yet to be confirmed although it does now seem likely the London Irishs Steve Williams will be joing us at some stage.

Of course nobody wants to see the likeable Frenchman go but we all wish him well in whatever path he chooses.
