Chris's Corinthian Effort for SWH4 pt 1

The Moss walk on Friday 30th September
Up here in the north the weather was as usual.....RAIN! The torrential rain of the past 15 hours did mean that it was likely to be a sponsored swim, especially for the 4 year olds.
By the time we started at 9.30am, the rain had stopped, the sun had come out (but that was above the thick fog that remained) With suitable clothing and wellies the 23 children set off. we took it very slowly, probably as the clever ones had realised that this was far better than literacy! We all trooped round 4 times doing about 2 km not bad for those 4 year olds! They were helped by the really helpful older children who nearly pulled them round the park. An hour later we arrived back at school, just in time for "playtime."
On checking the 16 sponsor forms that had been brought in it realised the fantastic news that they should raise in the region of £550!!!.
We are now looking forward to the main event on Sunday when the Two walks will walk up Winter Hill, The shorter one returning back down to school, the longer walk continuing over the top to the other side and then back round to school, about 9 miles all together. We are expecting about 100 walkers on Sunday, and the really good news is that the fog is expected to clear, ......................back to the rain!
I recon we might just be able to get somewhere near £1000? Well we can all dream!
