College Boys Back In Town
Floodlights on tonight as we once again host Hartpury College - this time in the Championship Cup.
Pirates Pinch Cup Win
Not too many Blues supporters made it down to the Mennaye for this inaugural Championship Pool game against the Pirates but it sounds like a decent contest with the home side shading things 22-20.
Pirates - Again
We are back on familiar territory for our first ever Pool game in the new Championship Cup which we are said to be taking very seriously - or at least the Chairman is.
There's nothing more dramatic than a last ditch kick to win a game. It is massively uplifting to see the ball go through the posts to snatch the win for your team and there's no bigger sense of relief when the opposition kicker misses his attempt. So spare a thought today for Hartpury's Sam Leeming ..
College Boys In Town
A tough test this week after the exertions against the Pirates. Hartpury College, so closely tied to Gloucester, have picked up and one wonders what would every happen if they get promoted to the Premiership.
It couldn't have been closer but victory was ours. Not many teams will win at the Mennaye Fields this season and very few games in the Championship will be as hard fought as our 30-29 win .
Off to Cornwall
Winning at the existing stadium is no easy task these days. Games at the Mennaye Fields and Goldington Road are never dull affairs.
Another Close One
You can almost always guarantee thrills, spills and tension when the Blues play these days. It was no exception when Doncaster rolled into town and as the 29-28 scoreline suggests either side could have won.
In the Pink (and green)
It's Ladies' Day at Goldington Road this Saturday as we take on Doncaster in our pink and green strip.. well it's only for one game and in a great cause .
There was little sign of the sickness bug which decimated the Blues squad last week as the lads pulled off a great 28-21 win at Carnegie ..
