Battle At Brickfields
By Blues Ed
November 22 2013
When you are down towards the bottom of a league every game becomes a battle. Mike Rayer is on record as saying last week's defeat by Moseley featured lots of perspiration but precious little inspritation .. so he has made wholesale changes to the side which goes to Plymouth tonight ...
The most important thing for Blues supporters is that he has brought in some new faces.
Matt Hankin makes his first start in the back row after joining on dual registration from Sarries. Hooker TJ Harris has also arrived from North Otago - he's been training with the Blues for a few weeks and now gets an opportunity off the bench due to Scott Spurling's shoulder problem
James Short returns on the wing while Paul Tupai will be skipper .
That's the good news the bad news is that Jake Sharp and Aaron Morris are both injured.
Blues: 15. Mike Le Bourgeouis, 14. Patrick Tapley, 13. Corey Hircock, 12. Ollie Dodge, 11. James Short,
10. Mark Atkinson, 9. Luke Baldwin, 1. Darren Fearn , 2. Charlie Clare, 3. Ben Cooper, 4. Mike Howard, 5. Paul Tupai (c)
6. Tim Jubb, 7. Matt Hankin, 8. Nick Fenton-Wells
Reps: TJ Harris, Nico Steenkamp, Phil Boulton, Ben Gulliver, Tom Armes, Darryl Veenendaal, Brendan Burke.

Well done Blues - well pleased

Fair to say it was a very surprised Bedford contingent here last night.
Must go a fried breakfast awaits somewhere on the way home.
Booj had a great game at FB unlucky not to get MOM his kicking was awsome. The try saving tackle he made when it was 13 16 was brilliant had Plymouth scored then I don't think we'd have won.
