Welcome Cup Break

Nick Fenton-Wells takes his boys to darkest Cornwall intent on continuing the run which has seen us win the last two league games ..

The B&I cup game against Cornish Pirates gives the side the chance to continue to grow together. There'll be further opportunities with Cross Keys visiting next week ahead of the tricky trip to Doncaster.

That's a lot of cup rugby, and let's hope it doesn't take its toll in terms of injuries as the next league game is at Sixways against Worcester Warriors.

Full-back Craig Holland makes a welcome return to the Cornish Pirates side after a brief loan spell at Worthing, and there is a place on the bench for Jake Parker following his similar loan at Chinnor.

Speaking ahead of the game, Cornish Pirates' Director of Rugby Ian Davies said: “We are all aware that Bedford Blues take the Cup seriously and that they have a proud record in previous competitions.

“The Blues started their season slowly but they have come into a bit of form of recent, and because we also take the Cup seriously a bit of a battle is naturally expected this weekend.”

Prediction was based on us winning the occasional scrum and a line out or two.[:wor kid:]
