Onward and Upward

Bristol have taught us a lesson in more ways than one this season - and if we learn those lessons there are lots of reasons to be optimistic.
Bristol have neen fighting tooth and nail to return to the Premiership and now face their third play off final in succession.
Nobody in the Blues camp would begrudge them a victory at last when they take on Doncaster Knights. They were full value for their two victories over the Blues even if the final 90-35 aggregate was a little hard on our lads.
A superb second half at Ashton Gate should have brought more points, but at least we can go into the summer off the back of those last 40 minutes.
Mike Rayer says he has some exciting new signings to come, and he will be keeping the core of the side which had a tremendous 2016 in getting us to the play-offs.
Bristo have proved you need to patiently build a side. Good luck to them and let's see what we can achieve over the next season ... or two.

You a right to say we didn.t deserve anything like that heavy a scoreline, but we weren;t clinical enough in possession. We were superb in the 2nd half and should of had at worst a couple of tries, but overlaps were ignored or we were simply out-defended. Flanagan was absolutely immense (presume he got our MOM?) and will be a massive loss. I think he has been a huge influence on steadying the pack this year.
I'm excited to see who Mike has got lined up, but we need to beef up the back 5 and have a player like Conlon of our own, as he's been a big miss these last few weeks.
I'm looking forward to next season already!!
Who knows what the next two games against Doncaster will bring.
That's rugby.
