Coventry Win Opener

Due respect was paid by both sets of supporters as Blues went down 26-18 in the first league game of the campaign.  Her Majesty the Queen's passing was marked with a one minute silence and a heartfelt singing of the National Anthem.

Blues acquitted themselves well - scoring in the very first minute courtesy of Dean Adamson who seized on some poor handling.

Coventry came back to make it 14-8 in their favour at the break. The home side went ahead 26-8 only for Blues to produce a late rally with tries from Alex  Woodford followed by Jack Hughes from a driving maul.

Not a time to reflect on a poor penalty count but to recognise the strength of character and support that our game can provide at times like these.

How much help do you need to give to your opponents? 22 penalties - ye gods!
This is not a new squad of players. These are not inexperienced players.
Coaches and playing staff need to sort this problem out NOW or we'll be destined for another season of 'what if'.
