BROADSTREET launch their National League Two North programme tomorrow with a home clash against Bradford & Bingley – and confidence will be bolstered by the memory of last season’s 31-13 cup triumph against the Yorkshire outfit. The selectors have got a couple of problems, however, with centre Alex Crofts and second-row Tom Greevy on the long-term injured list while open-side flanker

Simon Morris is unavailable for the game.

“I’m sure Bradford will be looking for revenge,” said club spokesman Stuart Hall. “But it’s great to have a home match because it gives us every chance to get off to a good start.”

Rugby Lions have hit early-season selection problems as they travel to Harrogate – fly-half Jack Green (groin) and hooker Matt Price (back) are both injured while back-row forward Josefa Rabakewa is unavailable.

Rugby Lions: Lloyd Warner; Joe Marston, Matt Goode, Phil Reed, Tom Harris; Joss Andrews, Toby Handley; Symon Hopkins, Ben Spokes, Mark Warrilow, Karl Braband, Andrew Weaver, Dave Campton, Alex Nash (captain), Chris Humphrey. Replacements: Tom Major, Darrell Burchnall, Tom Bradshaw, Lewis Barker, John Carruthers.
