Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce a further 2 signings bringingsquad numbers up to 26. Todd Freemantle and Matt Tibbets are the new additions, having just finished college. Todd Freemantle - centre - Earlsdon Matt Tibbets - back row No 6 - Hartpury College

Todd Freemantle, aged 20, was born in Coventry, and attended Coundon Court School. A centre, Todd previously played for Earlsdon, and has represented Midlands and Warwickshire U 20's, and Warwickshire. Part of the well known Coventry rugby dynasty, whose uncle Roy, and father Steve both played for Coventry as hookers.

Todd jumped at the chance to play for his home town club, especially in view of the family history and being able to get the chance to keep on the tradition. He realises it is a big step up but is looking forward to the challenge. Todd has enjoyed the fitness training, and is continuing to learn from the players around him.

Matt Tibbets, aged 21, joins from Hartpury College, where he has just finished his degree. Born in Birmingham, Matt attended  Archbishop Illsley School, Birmingham, and has been a member of Moseley minis since the age of 5, eventually being part of their successful Colts team.

He feels that Coventry will give him more opportunities, helped by the fact that he knows many of the Coventry squad either from Moseley Colts, or from Hartpury. A hard-tackling No 6 Matt, enjoys the physical side of the game, and even admits to enjoying the conditioning training. Although prefering to play No 6 has played at No 7 for Hartpury under the coaching of Allan Lewis, this new position he also found beneficial to him.

Good morning Magwitch I am purely having a bit of fun no offence intended. Do you still drink in the Nursery on saturdays ?. Regarding the 60:s is that your age or your waist line ? (Sm48)
