IN THE words of Meatloaf “Two out of three ain’t bad”. With a 100-per-cent home record and sitting in the middle of the table, things could be worse at the Butts Park Arena.

Things could have gone better in our first two home games and certainly in our first away fixture. However, this year’s Coventry squad, unlike others that I’ve been involved with, has shown an ability to grind out a victory when performing below that which we know we are capable of.

With the individual talent that we have in the squad it’s just a case of fine tuning and then the performance that we are all looking for is just around the corner.

One theme that has been a constant in all of our games this season has been an unbelievable work rate – most notably in defence – which up until now has been a get out of jail free card but has also given us a great foundation on which to build and is as crucial as a clinical attack if you want to be successful in National League rugby.

I think that it is excellent, and should be the firt step towards placing an article/any article in the paper five nights per week, building up to the Friday night preview.

Cov Rugby still gets a low profile compared to the Bees/Ice Hockey/CCFC. I know that we dont have 14 000 die hard fans like the footy, but neither do we have comparable column inches pro rata for the fans that we do have.

Look at the number of viewings on posts on this unoffical web site to guage the far flung interest.
