Alex Nash identifies momentum as key to Nat One challenge.

COVENTRY back rower Alex Nash believes the Butts Park outfit are building the momentum that could see them challenge the sides at the top of National One.Cov registered their fourth win in six matches last weekend, a 34-22 success at Barking, in which Nash scored twice – his first tries for more than a year.
That lifted the Blue and Whites to fourth in the table with only early-season pace-setters Ealing, Macclesfield and Fylde above them.
However, until last Saturday the top three had shown themselves to be a class apart with just one loss between them and already having established a one-win buffer between themselves and the rest of the division.
After suffering only one defeat Coventry have so far proved the best of the rest, although they have not yet played any of the leaders.
Nash, though, does not read too much into that fact and reckons that Cov are well-placed to gate-crash that group.
“There is always that question of how good you really are until you have played the sides above you,” the in-form openside admitted.
“You have to say it’s a long season, Fylde lost at the weekend, as I think everyone will this season, probably more than once.
“If you look at London Scottish last season, they lost three before going on a superb run and I don’t think there’s anyone of London Scottish’s strength in the division this year.
