Coventry have decisions to make.

With Matt Tibbatts and Jamie Harrop joining long-term casualty Jamie Miller on the sidelines, rugby director Phil Maynard and his coaches must decide between specialists Bruce Thomas, recalled from a loan spell at Luctonians, and new signing Adey Hall at blind side or stick with Sam Herrington, who moved from the second row last week when Harrop was injured in the 30-29 win over Rosslyn Park.

“We’ll have a look at how everyone came through training last night and go from there,” said Maynard.

“We are carrying a few knocks throughout the squad – Luke Myring and Ben Russell are still out from the backs – but it’s an exciting challenge for everyone.

“We have won three in a row as well as our last three away games, and confidence among these young players is at a high.

“Players earn the right to play in these top four games, these lads have done that, and we have got to go and give it a crack.”

Fylde are currently two points better off than Cov in second place, and with leaders Ealing at home to third-placed Cambridge, tomorrow’s results will have an important bearing for all the leading promotion contenders.
