Looking forward to getting to watching my first Nighthawks game with my son tonight - but I do have a quick question.

I know the bar is open from 6:30 will they be doing food as well?

I'd suggest giving the club a quick phone call for the definitive answer to that one.

Team?

Yes, there were two.

The Cov one won.

Being realistic, you are never going to get advance team lists for Nighthawks games. The club know who is invited, but until an hour or so before the game don't know the final list. Today's game was on a rolling replacement basis too, so a large squad was used with non- standard shirt numbering that changed depending on who wasavailable

It is also difficult to play as a team under those circumstances. However the pack played particularly well, and there were some backs moves that worked very well. A good performance by the Nighthawks, a special mention for Josh Mcnulty and Ade Hall although he will have to watch out for his late replacement.

If they were to give a rough idea, if not the exact team, of who is available to play before hand then i would be more inclined to come and watch. I enjoy seeing young lads invited from local teams mixed in with the players on the fringes of the Coventry 1st XV.

It would be nice to put a name to a face. There were one or two there last night who i thought gave a very good account of themselves, Will Maisey kicked extremely well and Spencer ?, cannot remember his surname, seemed very active and involved when he came on. Adie Hall showed just how mobile and strong he is and the Rumanian guy(Sorry can't remember his name either?) again showed just how physical he can be! Some good moves in the backs, with quick hands, sometimes let down by poor handling. On the whole tho there are some good young lads waiting in the wings to get a chance!!

What is the situation with regard to the Romanian guy? Does anyone know.

Bulgarians and Romanians require work permits to work here. Playing at level 3 (Coventry's level) is regarded as work by immigration. Playing rugby at that level is not regarded by immigration as one of the listed skills where permits are granted because of shortage of local workers.
