For the first half of the season Cov were generally playing very well.Apart from the odd game,Fylde and Jersey come to mind,we were a tough team to beat and we thoroughly deserved to be in the top six.We have fielded by and large the same team for most of those games. Now of course we have injuries to key players. Miller has been out for a long time but we are really missing Nash and Myring, although we managed without Luke for a few games earlier on.
On Saturday I thought young heads went down as soon as Sedgley scored their first try.Same players, but for some reason confidence suddenly looked very low.I'm sure the coaches will sort it out and get these fine bunch of youngsters back on form, but now is exactly the right time for Mr Maynard to go out and get some older heads in and take some of the burden off the kids.
These young lads are our future but now and then they need to be taken out of the firing line to keep them fresh physically and mentally.I know we don't have much cash flying about but a few new faces should give us a much needed boost.

Spoke to Nashy and Luke at last weeks game. Nashy said he was running again, maybe another 3-4 weeks before playing again but Luke said he hoped to be back in March? As has been said previously both key players that we miss!!
