Phil Maynard wants Coventry to keep their cool in derby.

PHIL Maynard will urge his Coventry players to put personal agendas to one side when they face local rivals Bees on Saturday.

Maynard takes his team to Solihull for a match that with six games to go signals the start of the National One run in.

After a brief and only passing flirtation with the bottom three Coventry now look assured of their third tier status following their win over Fylde.

But they will travel to Solihull knowing victory would hammer a huge nail in Bees’ National One coffin.

It would also see them complete a satisfying double over the side that relegated them from the Championship in the 2009-10 campaign.

But their rugby director says he doesn’t want his charges to think about anything other than continuing their own upturn in form and finishing the season strongly.

“We have got to go there and be positive and not get sucked into anything,” Maynard said.

You can't deny he's got a point, and that most, if not all of the "grudge" element comes from the supporters, but how it would be so nice to come a way with a win and to deny them even a point.

Discipline will be a factor in Saturday's game for sure, lets hope the Cov lads keep a cool head and make the Bees make all the mistakes. Don't give silly pens away as their kicker is pretty good, and no yellow cards!!
