Coventry Rugby are pleased to announce two more signings bringing their squad so far announced up to 35. Winger Jeff Gregson and outside centre James Whybrow both renew their ties with Coventry Rugby.
Jeff Gregson, winger joined Coventry two seasons ago from Rugby Lions, with his fellow Lions winger Tommy Harris. A prolific scorer of tries at Rugby Lions as well as his first season at Coventry, where he made 25 appearances scoring 14 tries, last season was disappointing for Jeff with a succession of injuries, not allowing him any continuity in the side which saw him with only 8 starts and three tries. Already back to a high level of fitness in pre-season Jeff is very much looking to continue on from his impressive first season at Coventry Rugby.
James Whybrow, aged 20 joins directly from the Worcester Academy after a spell last season with Coventry Rugby on a dual registered basis. James playing at his preferred position of outside centre made an immediate impact starting 4 games and with 2 substitute appearances scoring 2 tries in the process. Once again an injury put paid to his role at Coventry Rugby, but now back to fitness is looking to make an impact once again at Coventry, and is relishing the competition facing the centre partnerships. Born in Birmingham and now living locally in Leamington Spa, James is just about to embark on his second year at the University of Warwick where he is studying for a law degree.
