A massive blow having james and jaques out injured already, however i suspected as much seeing his hand in bandage last night. Overall a good selection IMO, a couple in there i have doubts about, but not right to name names without seeing them play in a real competitive game. However i am surprised that Sam H hasnt been selected in the squad.

Now this is going to get confusing...

But Tom, can you confirm that Tom Harris, is the new Tom Harris, and Tommy Harris, who isnt selected is last years Tom, thanks Tom... (Sm54)

No point turning up for this one, according to the Rolling Maul pundits Ealing will beat us 5 tries to 1, it seems all the London teams are ahead of us in terms of team strength and squad depth.

I wonder why anyone plays sport on the field any more, maybe we should have virtual teams and send Ealing the winners trophy so as to save all the bother of actually playing.(Sm100)

UNtill then, game ON.....(Sm44)

C'mon Cov...... give 'em hell !!!!(Sm145)

agreeing with my brother, big suprise to see a couple of the players in the starting line up.Others there name is on the team sheet before its printed.Pre season is over and counts for nothing now,the hard work begins and these performances are the ones that count. Its a big ask starting with ealing first game with so many new faces.

Tough game to start with. Ealing had an excellent 1st season in this league playing some great rugby. Would see them along with Blackheath as promotion favorites. Too early to comment on if the right players have been selected or not, lets just get behind them.

good luck to the team. ealing have v dangerous backs so need to retain possession and kick possession away as little as possible.

Cheer for me tomorrow guys, please, as I won't be there, but I desperately want us to start the season well.
I so much hope we don't start the game slowly, let them get ahead, and then spend the rest of the game playing catch up. If we can take the game to them right from the off we'll have an excellent chance of staying in front right through to the end.
Very best of luck Cov.

Covkid, in this age of simulation we could run an analysis and see who wins the league this year, could mean we don't have to sit out in the cold or travel from one end of the country to the other? And theleague could be decided this side of Xmas, save a lot of unneccesary expenditure!
Seriously, i find the predictors intreging and frustrating. All i want to see is that our lads give their all and make ELT suffer a little!
They will be looking for revenge from last years game but hope they come believing what all the predictors are saying and slip up big style!!!

Coome on Cov give em hell!

It is going to be tough tomorrow, with Ealing surely coming to playing the wide expansive game with their dangerous backs, however if we get enough quality 1st phase possesion, play territory, then Daynsey and Tibbo will hurt the Ealing defence! Looking forward to the match although would have preferred an easier 1st game of the campaign to allow team to build confidence but not massively worried about any opposition this season if we play to our potential with injuries at a minimum and some much deserved luck along the way. Good Luck Cov !

Hope we have a good crowd today at the B.P.A
I can't see why we can't give Ealing a run for their money, if we get at them early enough in the game we could put doubt into a few of theri players.
Home win today would be great - and ever the optimist i think we will ! (Sm100)
COME ON COV!!!!!!!!

hope the 2 young forwards, danny wright and liam munro, show up well today.
re danny, the under20 England side he played for in 2010 was pretty impressive
Tom Catterick, Will Hurrel; Jonathan Joseph, Tom Casson, Jonny May; Freddie Burns, Sam Harrison, Joe Marler,Jamie George,Lee Imiolek, Danny Wright, Charlie Matthews, Will Welch, Jacob Rowan, Jackson Wray - with players like George Kruis and Shaun Knight on the bench.

would be great if he could fulfill some of that potential with Cov.

Sadly rustyroof they didnt. Wright looked IMO unfit, and Munro was outshone by the other 2 back row colleagues.
