Up and Under: Scott Morgan's Coventry RFC column.

WHAT a difference a week makes. Going from the lows of last weeks poor performance and lack of spirit against Esher, to this weeks win against Wharfedale.
Not only was it the result that was pleasing but the spirit and intensity within our performance. I know some people will say we made too many mistakes and Id have to agree.
Our accuracy and composure probably cost us three clear try-scoring opportunities and this is a focus area for the squad over the next week but we were far more physical and there was a clear desire from all the boys.
We know as a team we have a lot of hard work to do in certain areas of our game our consistency and basic skills need to continue to improve to ensure we can perform under pressure on matchday. However, It was pleasing to see the line-out functioning on the weekend after our poor performance in that area the previous week and a real focus in training on completing our phases, which I believe helped us to retain momentum in the game.
I thought James, Greg and Heath had really strong games in the backs with strong, direct ball carries putting us on the front foot all afternoon. In defence Liam and Bronson were superb
, I think every tackle Bronson made was a big hit and he made nine of them.
Ive quickly realised there is not an easy game in this league and with the middle of the table being so tight we need wins.
