Coventry RFC & Henley College Coventry 59 Cirencester College 9.
Coventry RFC & Henley College Coventry Development Centre won the British Colleges Midlands League for the 2nd year running after beating Cirencester College 59-9 in fine fashion at Broadstreet RFC on Wednesday.
Cirencester opened their account with a well struck penalty to open the scoring playing with the wind. C&H in a robust mood took play from the kick off with flanker Callum Lines touching down in the corner after a great off load from lock Brendan Maguire. Cirencester again responded with another penalty for offside taking the lead for the second and final time.
A serious injury to a Cirencester player stopped play for up to 15 minutes. On the restart C&H took control with prop Nikesh Patel, flying winger Troi Coleman and 1st team member Michael Ryan recording further trys with Tyler Price converting two in to a strong wind taking the score to 24-6 at half time.
On the restart C&H continued where they left off with trys being scored by Paddy Hughes, Captain and 1st team player Josh McNulty, Jack Barker, Alex Robinson and Michael Ryan finishing of fine attacking plays, Price converting all five.
An excellent performance in tough windy conditions from the entire squad demonstrating great power in their play to record league honours for the second year running.
