Coaching re-structuring at Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby have today announced a re-structuring and re-positioning of their coaching structure at the National League 1 club for the forthcoming season 2013/14, to represent a more modern pro-active approach and to meet the increasing demands of the league structure.
Phil Maynard, will be continue as Rugby Director merging it with the General Manager role, responsible for player recruitment and the club’s increasing commercial development.
A new position of Head Coach has been designed to give a greater emphasis, to the full range of coaching duties both on and off the field, including player development. Coventry Rugby are delighted to confirm that this new position of Head Coach has gone to Coventry’s existing club captain and lock forward Scott Morgan. The former Welsh International, now in his second season at Coventry Rugby has proved that he has the ability, experience and charisma to lead Coventry Rugby forward in this new role.
Existing coaches Peter Glackin and Dave Addleton will assist Scott Morgan in this new role.
Pete Glackin, who has seen his CoventryRFC /Henley Academy role expand over the previous season bringing its own rewards of starting to produce players for the senior Coventry squad. It is expected that this important role will continue to develop in the years to come, and Pete will assist Scott as Skills Coach.
Dave Addleton will continue as forwards coach, again assisting Scott continuing to bring on the forwards in their personal and team development.
Rugby Director Phil Maynard states that these changes to the club’s coaching structures will allow Coventry Rugby to meet the challenges both of National League 1 and beyond.
