Coventry Rugby squad and positional list season 2013/14.

The following is a list of player movements in and out of Coventry Rugby club for the coming season 2013/14 with the new squad arranged in a positional order. 

Please note that there are still on-going discussions with prospective players, both from last season and possible new signings, as well as trialists, so this is not the definitive list but will be updated on a regular basis once negotiations, paperwork and press releases have been completed. In addition,the usual caveat has to be made that signings are all subject to RFU registration.

Coventry Rugby would also like to thank all those players that are no longer at the club, or who have moved on to other clubs, for their past service, details of their new clubs or prospective clubs are mentioned where known.

Heath Stevens-centre-Plymouth Albion, Bronson Ross –prop-Ulster, Nathan Jones-no 9, Ed Tellwright-centre, Jeff Gregson-wing-Broadstreet, Nat Macdonald-centre-Stourbridge, Jack Green-centre-Cambridge, Lee Chapman-no 10-Broadstreet, Greg Sammons-hooker, Davy McGregor-hooker, Alex Woolford-lock dr from Nton to Moseley, Ben Toft-fullback-Romania, Rob Dugard-prop, Nico Steenkamp-prop-Bedford Blues, Sam Herrington-lock-France, Andy Murray-wing-Broadstreet, Steve Johns-winger, Ross Kevan-no 9-Cambridge.

Arrangement with Worcester Warriors

In addition to the above an agreement is expected between Premiership side Worcester Warriors and Coventry Rugby for players to be attached to Coventry Rugby on a dual registered loan basis, whilst some of the Coventry squad members will be available as part of the Worcester Warriors Cavaliers (their development side).

Squad not looking too bad, but this time last season I was similarly upbeat only to be suicidal by january.

Lets hope lessons have been learned and the new coach with addition of experienced players, will lead to better decision making particularly near the end of tight games.

New season of hope......

Still looking out for Will Maisey. A good prospect who mentioned at Ealing he would love to play for Cov next season. Any news on Will?

the squad seems to be taking shape, lets hope they can gel for the first league game. i'm still hoping for a more aggressive approach this season and question whethe rwe have the creativity in the centres to make clean breaks.
on the main site the first friendly against broadstreet appears to have been cancelled-doo we know why? too early in pre season or too hot!

Street are obviously still waiting on all their Cov DR recruits to make a team (Sm14)

Will we be seeing Danny Hobbs this year, or are all DR from Northampton now gone? His performances for England imo were outstanding.

What's happened to Le Roux - on message board in March it was suggested a deal had been reached to keep him at Cov during 2013/14. He was at the training session on Sat, but is not included in the current squad lists?
