Forwards coach Dave Addleton praised the way Coventry bounced back from defeat a week earlier to record a 24-10 victory over Old Albanian at the Butts Park Arena.
Cov gave a much-improved performance in worsening conditions to subdue a side they lost to twice last season and record their fifth win in six National League One games.
“I’m pleased for the team and everybody involved after last week at Blaydon,” said Addleton.
“We knew we let that one slip and didn’t front up, and it was important for us to react and produce the right response today.
“The forwards knew they had to put in a performance and we were a lot tighter all round.
“We could have had a bit more control of the ball at times and a couple of tries went begging, but the conditions were difficult and overall it was a good performance.”
Wales fly-half Matt Jones enjoyed a sound full debut after an injury-hit start to his time at the club, and Addleton also highlighted the contribution made by head coach Scott Morgan who returned in the second row.

Surely that's Heath Stevens scoring the try, it's big Sam Herrington coming up into the ruck, and it's the prop (can't remember his name) wearing the yellow scrum cap?
