Some interesting changes due to illness at flyhalf. I would have thought Maisey would have just slotted back into the FH position. That would have meant less shuffling around in the backs. Also disappointed that Greg Evans hasn't got the nod over ian Clark on the wing.

Why was scrummaging practice "somewhat of a nightmare" when there's only been one change in the pack?
Danny Hobbs looks to me like a pretty good player, but does his enforced absence result in such a situation?

CB - I'm pretty sure it was Andy B's work commitments, not Danny's that caused Danny to be swapped in.

IMO one of the good bits about the size of the squad the changes do not make it look weak from the teams put out in previous weeks.

Agreed. I suspect that this lineup has more players in their preferred positions than usual. Certainly it giv some a chance to show what they can do.

It's an ill wind...

Except, Nick, that Will Hurrel stated in the article about him that he prefers to be on the wing rather than in the centre, which is where he's been put for this game.

I almost feel sorry for the opposition as everyone will be playing out of their skins for their prefered positions. Although Cliffe has been AMAZING at FB.

Except that Will Hurrell has never hidden the fact that, since his return from Stourbridge he would love to secure a centre three quarter position. Great there is the competition in the squad

We've named eight replacements...from memory it's usually five? How many are teams in Nat One allowed to use...?

Five, but Coventry usually travel with 7, in case anyone has to drop out at the last minute (or at least up to 30 mins before the match when the team sheet goes in. With the current bug eight seems wise.

Thanks, Nick. Makes sense. Do the three additional names as well as those of the five replacements have to be submitted too?

No - the form that goes in lists the squad that's available to play in the game - so 15 + 5. It also details which 2+ of the 5 are designed as front row replacements.

That's the trouble with doing it on a tablet when you get old. Apart from that it is a fluid situation regarding the team.

An even later change to side. Will Hurrell is out hand infection to be replaced by Ian Clark.
Replacements yet to be confirmed but Evans is unavailable and macBurnie injured so may have to go with 4 forwards and 1 back.

Iggy Darkintis is the perfect front-row replacement as he is comfortable in all 3 positions.
