Thanks goodness Glaws have remembered how to play

There have been times in the last few weeks when some pople have doubted Gloucester's rugby credentials. To his credit, coach Dean Ryan wasn't one of them, and his faith in his players' ability was rewarded with a stroming 39-15 win over Sarcens at Kingsholm. Dean Ryan scored 19 points in a rampaging win that makes Glaws title favourites again.

Ryan told the BBC after the game: "I am very happy with that performance.
"We have been top of the Premiership for most of the season, and we deserve credit for that.
"We control the remainder of the season ourselves. Two of our last three games are at home, and we can control our play-off position. That is all you can ask for."
Well, Glaws fans were asking for a big win against Sarries, and that's just what they got courtesy of a totally dominant performance and some out-of-this-world rugby.
Lamb's haul, which included two tries, was the highlight, but Big Les got amongst the tries again, while Akapusi Qera (right), Rory Lawson and James Simpson-Daniel also crossed the line.
Making five changes after the Heineken Cup exit against Munster, Ryan had every right to be pleased with the performance.
Ryan told the club website (where long words are always more popular than short ones): “I said last week I am convinced about the direction this team is going in. Where we are in our progress means we run the risk of being bumped around sometimes, but we understood last week for what it was and have tried to progress it.
“We didn’t beat ourselves up after we lost that game because we did some really good things. It was about taking positives out of it and we did that.
“We know we have a movement game but under-pinning that are the details that make us function and today we saw them – I am really pleased with the result and where it puts us with the games coming up.”
Where it puts Glaws is in control - they have it in their hands to finish top again, and after this performance, it would perhaps be s surprise if they didn't.
