Glaws in the mood to shock mighty Quins

A week after facing the best team in France away, just what you need when you get home is a game against the best team in England ... but that's how the Heineken Cup had worked out for Gloucester, and there's no need for them to fear the second leg of this difficult double.

They might have lost at Toulouse last weekend, but they might even have won with the sort of performance that gave everybody of a cherry and white persuasion a lot of hope.

And that hope is just what they need as they prepare to face a Harlequins side taking all before them this season, adding a Heineken Cup win over Connacht last season to their already impressive form in the Premiership.

Their 11-game unbeaten run will surely come to an end sooner or later, and Kingsholm is the sort of place where it’s more likely to happen.

Coach Bryan Redpath said: “We got a bonus point at Toulouse, and we must grow from that against Harlequins at Kingsholm.

“Our home record has gone now, but it’s all about Harlequins now, and we have a lot of respect for what they have done this season.

“We can’t wait to get back home again and thank those fans who went to France to support us by giving them another good performance.”

In consistency has been a problem for Glaws this season, but there are signs that Redpath and his fellow coaches are getting on top of that and there’s no doubt at all that Quins will come to Kingsholm worrying about that unbeaten record.

If they don’t, Glaws are in the sort of form that could cause them major problems.
