Heineken Refreshes Glaws

First of all we needed a confidence boosting win. We got it. Secondly we needed a bonus point to help our Heineken Cup cause. We didn't get it - but there is still at to play for. 

The 23-12 win at Murrayfield put us in second place with Edinburgh back at Kingsholm next Sunday where a bonus poiint win would come in very handy.

A brace of tries from Martyn Thomas, and an opening try for Rob Cook, set up the win which will give the side a confidence boost - specially as Edinburgh were the side who beat Munster.

It loooked like they might continue in that form when the home side went ahead after just a couple of minutes when full back Greig Tonks ghosted in.

Laidlaw missed his kick, and Glaws came back with Trinder putting in a little grubber for Cook to go over. The second came ten minutes later when Billy Twelvetrees found Thomas running a great line on the inside. The con and a pen put us 15-5 up.

The second half saw the try of the game as Jonny May once again showing real (international) class. He took a clearing kick, skipped inside the charging attack, went wide and the back across  holding off a string of tackles to unleash Thomas. True class.

We came close to the fourth try with Matt Cox held up on his back over the line, but it was the performance which will give supporters most cheer.
