Gloucester Rugby 2014 will be a signficantly different outfit to the one which eventually ended 2013 on a high ..
New faces are already being signed up for the next campaign with more to come with either Rhys Priestland, the Wales fly half, or Stephen Brett from Bayonne being lined up to replace the departing Freddie Burns.
The lucky No 10 will line up in a side which will include top new signings Richard Hibbard and John Afoa as well as five regulars who have just resigned for Glaws - James Simpson-Daniel, Charlie Sharples, Darren Dawidiuk, Shaun Knight and Elliot Stooke.
It won't include flanker Akapusi Qera who has joined Toulouse allowing Nigel Davies some leeway to bring in the new faces.
Until then it's up to the present squad to continue the improvement whcih saw deserved wins over Warriors and Irish. Next up, of course, is Sarries and they will present a much more difficult proposition and this game will give us a better idea of whether we have turned the corner - or not.
