A try fest and a win - at last something to make us all a little bit more upbeat as we head for a long hot summer and the prospect of a better season next time around ..
Irish played their part in the nine try thriller with Freddie Burns the man to clinch our 38-30 victory with a conversion from Shane Monahan's try which took him passed the 1,000 point mark for Gloucester.
Good luck to him at Tigers. He needs the career change if he is to realize his potential.
With Elliott Stooke on great form we raced into a lead with two tries in the first ten minutes with Marland Yarde and Shane Monahan going on to have their own private battle with each ending up with a hat trick.
Despite losing Tweelvetrees and Sharples to injuries we never quite looked like losng the game despite Irish taking the lead with fifteen minutes to go.
Then up popped Sharples and we had a much needed wihn.

We have always been known for our pack but this season it was our backs who were quality while the forwards struggledt o give them any decent ball.
I would love to know what the thinking was last summer when all we did was bring in a couple of passed their best lads to strengthen the squad.
We seem to have learned our lesson and the players coming in have done it at the highest level and are still in their prime.
Top 4 finish next season without any shadow of doubt
