Wasps today confirmed the marquee signing of All Black winger Frank Halai.
The 26-year-old Tongan-born ace, nicknamed The Tank, will arrive from Aukland Blues in time for next season, taking the place of Tom Varndell who is joining Bristol.
Standing 6ft 5ins and weighing in at 17st, he has been frequently compared to the great Jonah Lomu and Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: “We are delighted to have signed Frank – he is incredibly strong and powerful, with great pace and he has already shown his potential through playing for the All Blacks.
