Wasps have been handed a major boost ahead of Saturday's midlands derby with Leicester Tigers after it was confirmed that Joe Launchbury will return to action after more than six months out with a neck injury.
Director of rugby Dai Young has revealed to the BBC that the 24-year-old England lock will be back on the bench in front of the capacity crowd at the Ricoh Arena.
"We are really eager to get him on the field, it's like having a new signing," Young told BBC Radio 5 live.
"He's been back more or less in full training for two to three weeks, he's more than happy and more than confident."
Launchbury is yet to play at the Ricoh since Wasps' switch in December but Young says he's fit and ready to make an impact against the Tigers.
"He's looking excellent in training," he said.
